We’re finally getting into the climax of summer! Days of water play, enjoying spring-planted gardens in full bloom and savoring cold drinks at the pub. Spokes has been hosting wonderful brunches for Easter & Mother’s Day. Our Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 8, will feature a breakfast menu of Egg Strata, Scrambled Eggs (regular & western), Biscuits & Gravy, Scalloped potatoes, Sausage & Bacon, and Assorted pastries and fresh fruit. We will also have a full lunch buffet available including; Pork Roulade, Roast Beef, Mostacholi/Baked Penne, Scalloped potatoes, Green bean casserole, Assorted salads, Rolls & Butter & Assorted Desserts. Breakfast only will be $9.95 for adults, $6.95 for kids 6-12. Brunch will be $11.95 for adults and $8.95 for kids 6-12. Kids under 5 eat free.

Spokes is proud to present our 4th annual, “Support the Troops Memorial Weekend Bash.” On May 28 at 2pm, the festivities begin. There will be face painting, balloon animals and root beer for the kids. Adults will be able to try some of Crown Valley’s wine, beer, our newly released Vodka, and some great BBQ ribs. Ribs will be available all day and the D.J. will be spinning from 4-6pm, we will also be hosting a live music feature from 8-12pm.

Spokes is also proud to launch a series of Eating Challenges during the holiday weekend. We will discover who can eat the most meatballs in 15 minutes, and who (if anyone) can tackle our 3 lb. Crown Burger. The challenge will feature the most ravenous eaters from local high schools, and will be open to the public as well. Our monster burger is stacked with a 1 lb Angus patty, a 1 lb bison patty, and 1 lb elk patty. This is all layered with bacon, grilled ham, sautéed spinach, cheddar, Swiss and American cheeses. The winner will be able to put his/her name on our Wall of Fame, as well as the school colors, and of course, receives a T-shirt to declare he/she a winner. The final event is dessert, features a dessert eating challenge (12” strawberry pie). Who can devour it fastest?

This will be the first of a series of eating events that will include hot wings, berry pies (fresh from the farm) and a standing bet that no one will be able to handle our 3 lb Crown Burger. The whole day will be designed to raise money for the Fisher House in St. Louis, offering care for families of military survivors who have to go through treatments and rehabilitation due to their selfless efforts protecting our country and our freedoms. The 573 Challenges will continue with Best burgers on 4th of July weekend (at the Champagne House) to benefit our own Tiger Sanctuary, and Best BBQ brisket on Labor Day weekend (at Spokes) to help raise money for the MDA.
